Acceptable Use Policy

What you must not do with Stillmove. It applies to everything you upload, everything you generate and everything you publish from it. Breaking it can cost you your account.

The three that are specific to this service

Most of this policy is the usual list, further down. These three come first because they are about what this particular tool is for, and they are the ones that get accounts closed here.

1. Do not upload somebody else’s product photographs

Upload only photographs you took, or that you have permission to use. Do not upload a photograph lifted from another seller’s listing, from a manufacturer’s catalogue, from a stock library you are not licensed for, or from a search engine. Do not upload a photograph of an item that is not yours to sell.

2. Do not use output to describe goods misleadingly

A clip made here is used to sell something. Do not publish one alongside a listing for a different item, a different colourway, a different size, a different condition or a different quantity from the one shown. Do not present a clip of a sample, a prototype or a display piece as the item a buyer will receive without saying so. Do not enter a struck-through “was” price that you never genuinely charged.

3. Do not publish a beautified version of goods that are on sale

The service will not alter your item, and you must not do it afterwards either. Do not take a clip produced here and edit it to change the colour, hide damage, remove a mark, alter the size or make the item look like something other than what you are selling. If the item has a flaw, the flaw belongs in the picture.

Unlawful and harmful content

You must not use Stillmove to upload, generate or publish anything that:

  • is unlawful in the country you are in, the country you are selling to, or the United Kingdom;
  • depicts, promotes or facilitates the sexual exploitation or abuse of children in any form. We report this to the relevant authorities without notice;
  • is sexual content involving anyone who is or appears to be under 18, or any sexual content produced without the consent of everyone depicted;
  • incites or promotes violence, terrorism, or hatred against people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or any other protected characteristic;
  • harasses, bullies, threatens, defames or is intended to intimidate a specific person;
  • promotes self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.

People

The service is built for photographs of objects, and it does not generate likenesses of people. You must not upload a photograph of an identifiable person without their consent, use the service to produce a depiction of a real person, or use it to create anything that could be mistaken for genuine footage of a real person or event.

Fraud and deception

  • Do not use the service to advertise goods you do not have, cannot supply, or do not intend to send.
  • Do not use it to sell counterfeits, replicas passed off as genuine, or stolen goods.
  • Do not use it to impersonate another business, or to imply an endorsement, partnership or affiliation that does not exist.
  • Do not use it in connection with a pyramid scheme, a fake shop, a phishing site or any other scheme designed to deceive people out of money.

Intellectual property

Do not upload or generate anything that infringes somebody’s copyright, trade mark, design right, patent, database right, trade secret or image rights. That includes another brand’s logo, packaging or distinctive get-up on an item you are not authorised to sell, and any character, artwork or design you do not have the right to use commercially.

If you believe content on this service infringes your rights, write to support@rhyldealretail.com with enough detail to identify the content and your right in it. We investigate and remove infringing material, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Regulated goods

Some categories carry rules about how they can be advertised, and generated video is a poor fit for several of them. Do not use this service in connection with:

  • weapons, ammunition, explosives or their components;
  • illegal drugs, controlled substances, or products marketed as substitutes for them;
  • prescription medicines, medical devices, or anything presented as having a medical or therapeutic effect;
  • tobacco, vaping products or nicotine products where advertising them is restricted;
  • gambling, lotteries or betting;
  • financial products, investments, credit or cryptocurrency offerings;
  • live animals, endangered species, or products made from them;
  • human remains or bodily fluids;
  • documents intended to be used as identification;
  • anything subject to trade sanctions or export control that you are not licensed to deal in.

Alcohol, cosmetics and food are permitted, but the advertising rules of the place you are selling into still apply and meeting them is yours to do.

Abuse of the service itself

  • Do not attempt to bypass the confirmation screen, the colour check, the credit meter or any other limit, whether through the interface, the API or anything else.
  • Do not share, resell or sub-licence access to your account, or run the service on behalf of others as a bureau without our written agreement.
  • Do not create multiple accounts to obtain more free credits.
  • Do not scrape, mirror or systematically download content from the service.
  • Do not probe, scan, overload or interfere with the service, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it or to another user’s account.
  • Do not use the service to develop or train a competing model.
  • Do not upload anything containing malware or designed to damage a system.
  • Do not use stolen or unauthorised payment details, or test cards against our checkout.

Platform rules still apply

Every marketplace and social platform has its own rules about generated media, some of which require it to be labelled. Meeting the rules of the places you post to is your responsibility. We cannot tell you how any platform will treat a particular clip.

What happens if you break this policy

Depending on what has happened and how serious it is, we may remove content, restrict a feature, suspend your account, or close it. Where it is reasonable and lawful we will tell you first and give you the chance to put it right; for child safety, for an immediate risk to people, or where the law requires it, we act immediately and without notice. If we close your account for a breach, unused credits are lost and fees already paid are not refunded. See the Terms of Service.

If you think we have got it wrong, reply to the notice we send you or write to support@rhyldealretail.com. A person will look at it again.
